The Craft Shack Plus

The place for crafty curiosities and supplies

The Craft Shack Plus consigns thrift finds, antiques, and handmade crafts by local artisans and sells maker’s supplies.

The Craft Shack Plus is the passion project of owners Sally Varda and Cindy Arnold, two veteran crafters who decided to convert their favorite hobby into a business. After relocating to 729 Main Street in 2022, Varda and Arnold took advantage of the spacious Masonic Lodge building to offer a retail shop on the street level and a craft supply area on the lower level.

The retail shop offers hundreds of handmade items, including jewelry, candles, pottery, antique signs, vintage dresses, and crochet work, from hats and mittens to stuffed animals and lawn ornaments.

The Craft Shack Plus specializes in consigning and features the work of more than 25 creators. Button bouquets, metal sculptures, art prints, customized shirts, and popular 3D-printed figurines, there is truly something for everyone in the shop. The owners are happy the shop can showcase local crafting talent and provide an opportunity for these creators to find new customers.

The lower level craft supply area primarily serves the needs of the crafting community with yarn, long knitting needles, crochet supplies, and sewing materials available for purchase. It is here you will find vintage, thrift, or antique pieces

The sheer variety of crafts available for sale and the one-of-a-kind consignment pieces make the Craft Shack Plus another welcome stop for anyone visiting Main Street in Downtown Norway. Beyond retail, the owners intend for the space to be a resource for the area crafting community, with supplies, workshops, and other educational events.
